FREE TRAINING EVENT: EU Law Rights & Advocacy

Thursday 9 July 2015 from 12:30 to 1730 at Maison des Associations Internationales (MAI) in Brussels

Topics will include:

  • Brief overview of EU Law, including Directive 2004/38/EC ("Citizen's Directive") and Fundamental Rights for EU Citizens under the TFEU 
  • The rights of Zambrano parents: a comparative analysis of Belgium & Ireland
  • The implementation of the Chen judgment in Belgium
  • The impact of the judgment in Teixeira & Ibrahim
  • Finishing with an interactive Q&A session with audience members


This training is being held under our Invisible EU Migrants project and in coordination with ECAS, ADDE, Migrants Resource Centre and the Immigrant Council of Ireland.  This has been made possible through a generous grant from the European Programme on Integration and Migration (EPIM)
