FREE WORKSHOP for European Roma Rights Advocates

Do you work with European Roma migrants? Wondering what rights they have? Do you have questions about children’s eligibility to be registered as British citizens?

Register for our free training workshop on Tuesday 5 July 2016, 3:00 to 6:00pm at Amnesty International UK Human Rights Action Centre in London

This capacity building session is aimed at practitioners working with European Roma migrants and delivered jointly by the AIRE Centre and the Project for the Registration of Children as British Citizens.

Topics will include:

  • An overview of EU free movement law and basic residence rights under Directive 2004/38/EC (‘Citizen’s Directive’)
  • Permanent residence in the UK and the rights of spouses, civil partners, children, dependants and extended family members
  • Eligibility and registration of children of European parents as British citizens

The workshop is delivered under the European Roma Rights in Action project funded by the Open Society Initiative for Europe.
