Overview: This, the first evening seminar of this series, focused upon the EU Directive 2011/36, "The Trafficking Directive". This new EU instrument came in to force on 6th April 2013 and is therefore now enforceable under UK law. This seminar was designed for lawyers and others with an already established understanding of law and legal rights and it aimed to explain exactly what the Directive was, how it could be used practically, and outlined some of the key protections that it offers to victims of trafficking.
